James Sicily set his eyes on the prize a piece of Almonds best chocolate lay there on the teachers desk its gold wrapper shining. Easy, the teacher was busy talking on the other side of the room. He had to make a grab for it. Stretching his arms, he grabbed just as he tumbled of his chair. With and earsplitting crack his arm broke. Every kid in the classroom turned his or her head towards him.The teacher stared at him menacingly as she had just parted ways with her chocolate. Which now lay gooey on the floor. Eyes watering in pain he sighed as he was sent to hospital. “Seriously James, another mischief incident. These are becoming too often James Bryon Sicily.” Groaned James Mum as she watched the doctor wrapping up her sons broken arm. “Right before the holidays, I thought you would put on better behaviour.” She added emphasising every word. A small Toyota trundled along the dusty lane with way too much baggage that it bent the car slightly of balance. Looking out of the window, James felt crammed in the car, it was hot and stuffy. Forest hill street was always the most normal place in the world. There was no nonsense and no peculiarities. The sun glazed the smooth tiles as the blazed high above them. Rows of fine and handsome houses lined the street. It was Saturday and many neighbours were labouring at their green lawns. Today was the best day of the week. One, I did not have school two,I would spend the day with my favourite neighbour Mrs Schwartz. Mrs Schwartz was a kind old lady that lived next door. She was something like the best grandmother in the world. She lived in a handsome house that stood out from all the other houses. It had fruits and roses bushes in its yard that shimmered with droplets of water in the morning. Inside the house was four bedrooms, Mrs Schwartz slepped in a different one each night. On a hot a summers day you could slip into Mrs Schwartz’s pool. At nine o’clock I hurried next door. Mrs Schwatz seemed oddly strange. Something was out of place. I knew she was elderly but something was DEFINITELY wrong. “How is your Monday going dear?”she wheezed . “But it's Saturday Mrs Schwartz.”I exclaimed. “We’ll get moving on dearie, let's have some tea.”She cheerfully, almost ...

“Oi get out the way you street rat” a soldier yelled at her. She did not bugge. Her brow raised. “Or I will use the hard way” he raised his sword threateningly. A boy with golden locks ran between Asterix and the procession. “She was only passing-” the boy broke off. “Not you Julius I am telling your dad, unless you move her” the soldier threatened. Julius dragged her off to a fountain. “Oh sorry for the interruption of the movie” she apologized. “What's a movie and are you out of your mind?” he asked. “I know you are pretending, it is the 21st century” she said. “You are in Rome” he sighed. What she thought I am halfway around the world ? She realized she was no longer in 2022 but in ancient Rome. Julius looked at her with strikingly blue eyes. He had noticed her family heirloom. “Did you steal my fathers treasure? '' he said, shocked.

Asterix grasped the jeweled book and ran. The voices got nearer and nearer. She ran out of the library and slammed the door shut. She ran along the hallway to her room where she reached for her phone and put next-to her book. She opened it and held up her phone to take a selfie. Then, She opened the book. Her heart skipped a few paces. She was flying through space and time. She fell. She was hopeless. She opened her eyes. She was standing in the middle of a market in ancient Rome. Shoppers barged past each other. Women wrinkled their noses at her. She looked at her phone. Strange there is still wifi, she thought. Suddenly everything stopped. Horns could be heard. A procession was heading towards a building. Soldiers marched with pride. Prisoners hid their faces and people jeered at them. Asteriex was standing in the way of the procession and her jaw dropped.
